If you acknowledge how important it is to have high quality programs and services for the elderly, you can show that you care by remembering St. Joseph’s Residence in a significant way that will make a lasting difference.

For more information on planned giving, please feel free to contact us. When you include the Friends of St. Joseph’s Residence as a beneficiary in your Will, your estate is issued a tax credit that can be used towards your terminal income tax return to reduce your taxes owing in the year of your passing and the preceding year. Including the Friends of St. Joseph’s Residence in your will is easy to do. They can be included as a beneficiary by either amending your current Will with a Codocil naming the Friends of St. Joseph’s Residence or by creating a new Will. You may choose to give the assets that remain after specifying bequests to your loved ones to the Friends of St. Joseph’s Residence. Your lawyer or financial advisor is able to help you through this process. If you do not have a valid Will, your estate will be dealt with in accordance with provincial laws. In Manitoba, the laws are such that none of your estate would go to charity if you have no Will.
